The venure of the workshop is the European Youth Center Budapest, the conference centre of the Council of Europe. The venue's webpage is http://www.eycb.coe.int/.

How to get there: from the airport - from Keleti/Déli train station - by car from north/south

How to get there from the airport:

(a) Take a minibus. The minibus service (airport shuttles) is available on all terminals of Budapest Ferihegy Airport. Upon arrival please contact the minibus desk and they will allocate you a place in one of the shuttles (they leave very often). Please have the above address with you and present it to the desk. The return fare is 4990 HUF. The return trip has to be organized app. 24 hours before departure by contacting the minibus service by phone +36 1 2968555 and making a reservation. The Hotel will help you.

(b) Take a taxi. The airport taxi service is run by the Zóna Taxi company. Upon arrival, look for "Zóna Taxi" shields, they will guide you to the dispatcher. There you can buy a voucher for 5300 HUF per direction, as you will have to be taken to zone 3 (show them the address). Taxis are normally available on the spot, but sometimes you will have to wait for a couple of minutes.

(c) Take a train. From terminal 1 there is a direct train service to Budapest Nyugati train station. Trains go every 15-25 minutes and the trip takes app. 25 minutes. Tickets can be purchased at the terminal or in the train. The fare is 300 HUF per direction. Please note that the train service is only available for Terminal 1 arrivals/departures! The route from Nyugati is detailed at point (d) below.

(d) Take public transportation (BKV). To get to the hotel you will need 3 tickets that can be purchased at the newspaper shops on all terminals or from vendor mashines. There is a regular bus service from each of the terminals to Kőbánya-Kispest. Bus number 200E goes app. every 10 minutes and will take you to the end station (Kőbánya-Kisperst) of the blue underground line (M3). At Kőbánya-Kispest you will have to take the underground (blue line, M3) to Nyugati Pályaudvar (do not forget to buy/validate a ticket). From there you have to take bus number 91 (use your third ticket) and get off at "Zivatar utca", cross the street, start walking downhill, turn into  Zivatar street and walk to the European Youth Center Budapest.

How to get there from the train station Keleti:

(a) Take a taxi. In Budapest if you catch a taxi in the street. They might charge you somewhat higher prices than the average. Please be careful to take one where there is a clear indication of the taxi company (6x6, Taxi 4, City taxi, Budapest taxi, Főtaxi, Tele5, Budataxi etc.). Present them the address. The fare should not cost more than 2500-3000 HUF.

(b) Take public transportation. You will need 3 tickets for one direction. Take the red underground line (M2) to Deák tér, there you will have to change to the blue line (M3) and get to Nyugati Pályaudvar (do not forget to validate another ticket when changing lines). From Nyugati, please take bus number 91 (use your third ticket) and get off at "Zivatar utca", cross the street, start walking downhill, turn into  Zivatar street and walk to the European Youth Center Budapest.

How to get there from the train station Déli:

(a) Take a taxi. In Budapest, if you catch a taxi in the street, they might charge you somewhat higher prices than the average. Please be careful to take one where there is a clear indication of the taxi company (6x6, Taxi 4, City taxi, Budapest taxi, Főtaxi, Tele5, Budataxi etc.). Present them the address. The fare should not cost more than 1500-2000 HUF.

How to get there by car from the north:

If you come from the north, please follow the Danube/any main road to the south, find Margit híd (Margaret bridge), get to the Buda side (hilly part of the town) and drive in the direction of Moszkva tér until Mechwart liget (a park on your right hand side). Turn to the right and drive up Keleti Károly street, then after a few meters turn right into Ady Endre street. Then drive down a little to the right. The next corner on your left should be Zivatar street.(route to be checked)

How to get there by car from the south:

If you approach the EYCB from the highways M1/M7, keep on driving in the direction of "Centrum". At the crossroads where the inner lane drives you into an underpass and the raimaining two lanes straight ahead, keep on driving straight on. At the next great crossroads where the inner lane drives you onto an overpass and the remaining two lanes straight ahead, keep on driving staight ahead. Pass by Déli train station (on your right) and follow the lanes to Margit híd (Margaret bridge) straight ahead. When the lanes leave the ring road, turn immeadiately to the left (Tölgyfa utca) and the at the first possibility to the left (Feketesas utca). At the traffic light cross the Ring road and drive uphill. At the end of the street turn to the right (no other option) and keep on driving uphill (to the left). After the big curve try to turn to the left and drive down the narrow street and there turn to the right into Zivatar street. (route to be ckeched)

Social Events

There will be two organized dinners: the welcome dinner on Sunday, October 5 that starts at 7 p.m., and the dinner on the World Habitat Day (Monday, October 6) that starts at 8 p.m.

The venue of the October 5 dinner is Menta Terasz, which is walking distance from EYCB. The dinner starts at 7 p.m. The address is Margit krt. 14.
When you leave EYCB, walk down the hill via Rómer Flóris utca. When you arrived at the road with the tram, just cross the street and you will find Menta Terasz on the opposit side of the road a little bit to your left.

The venue of the October 6 (World Habitat Day) dinner is the newly established community center of district 8 at Mátyás tér 15.
Participants will be taken there by bus after the sessions. The colleagues of the project team will guide us through the building of the community center and tell some info on their rehabilitation project during the evening.
